on materials

We love working with sustainable materials and take great care to minimise our impact on the environment

Sustainable and built to last

For the conversion, we use materials such as cork, sheep’s wool, 100% wool felt, hemp, recycled PET bottles, organic cotton and recycled textile fibres.

The wood we use is lightweight but ultra strong, in the highest AA grade quality — ready to make our camper a future classic.

Locally made

The ID.Buzz is built in Germany, while the interior, steel parts, rock-and-roll bed and most of the pop-top roof are made in the Netherlands.

The wood is sourced directly from a family-run business in Finland, and the battery comes from Denmark.

A circular future

We work hard to keep waste to a minimum, separate it wherever possible, and lead the way in researching how to reuse our plastic waste.

We’re committed to developing further in this area, aiming to create a fully circular product in the coming years.

Because we want to

At Outbase, we’ve chosen a sustainable bank and insurer. We wear organic cotton workwear and sometimes take part in local litter-picking events. We mostly use organic and eco-friendly products, and we drink fair trade (and tasty!) coffee.

While we’re proud of our choices, we’re not perfect. There’s always room to improve, and we welcome suggestions.
